Given Name: Llura Serrano Titles & Alias: Slum Royal; Urchin; Oi-U Faction Alignment: Mage Guild: Fairy Tail Mage Rank:
Age: 19 Gender: Female Orientation: Celibate
Height: 5' 9" Weight: 60kg Body Type: Human
General Appearance: Llura is tall and agile and athletically built with stringy muscular tone. Her delicate complexion betrays a survivor instinct. There is a sense of urgency in the way she moves and she has a cat-like gait- long and measured, calculated to jump into action at any time. Probably the most feminine and elegant part about her is her fingers which are slim and long. She does not seem too fussed about her short, shaggy scarlet hair, opting to keep it messy with minimum styling (or even brushing). Long tufts hang down to the right side of her face, sometimes partially covering it and reaching down to below her chin. She has large brown eyes, the right one often obscured by her hair. They have a defiant and mischievous glint about them. Those who dare to look deeper will find lurking beneath them an unrestrained wild streak, one that jumps out when least expected. There is just a hint of a growl in the way Llura talks which makes her sound menacing and grumpy. Only when she gets excited does the calculated charade falls apart and her true girlie voice comes out. Despite her outward appearance of self-assuredness, Llura, like all girls her age, is self-conscious about her looks. She is particularly bothered by her lips which she thinks are too thin and unfeminine. Hardly using any make-up, she often just slaps on some loose powder, making sure there is no room for any misconception of her ever being vain. In truth she just does not want to draw attention to her perceived physical imperfection. This insecurity is unfounded, for in reality Llura possesses a feral beauty, the kind one finds in some exotic wild cat. Scars, Tattoos, & Distinguishing Features:

Overview Mimetic Magic can best be described as the clumsier, uglier and less sophisticated sister of Copycat Magic. As its name suggests, it is a magic that mimics others. The techniques produced are never a true copy of those mimicked, merely a facsimile/imitation that almost never produces the same effect. To the untrained eye, the results may bear some resemblance, but that is as far as it goes. It is an instinctive, some would even say crude and unsophisticated, form of magic that is not learned through rules. It is deceptively chaotic in its inception, seemingly free from any set laws and rules but is actually far more ordered and stringent than it appears, for it requires astute observations, a critical eye for detail, unforgiving logical thought processes, creative invention and sophisticated ingenuity. The fact that Llura can achieve anything will come as a huge surprise to those who know her, for the one thing they know about her is that she possesses none of the qualities required to make this magic work.
The beauty of Mimetic Magic is its ability to provide the caster a limitless number of permutations he/she wishes to achieve, using the original tech they strive to mimic as a guide. In that sense, it is essentially a form of Creation Magic. As her Mimetic Magic skills progress, Llura can potentially create a technique that is the result of mimicking a group of techniques that share simillar traits, potentially creating something new and unseen before- what Mimetic Mages call a Magic Meme, the ultimate form all Mimetic Mages strive for years, even decades, to achieve. Such is the power of Mimetic Magic.
Process The process of Mimetic Magic begins with observation of other techs in action. It requires a fair amount of analysis on Llura's part. This is a long and crucial process for it is when she works out, through her own uniquely convoluted logic, how something should and would work. This is a necessary process that cannot be skipped as Llura cannot mimic any magic on the fly. Although her method appears somewhat haphazard, there is logic in her madness. As a result, she will be able to produce new techniques over time. The self-taught techniques Llura had developed require an external catalyst- object/s that share the same elemental affinity as the techniques she wants to achieve. Being a child of the street, she naturally gravitates towards using things that are familiar in her day to day life. The naming of a tech is the final and in some ways, the most important stage of the whole process. This is when the technique is bound uniquely to its user. Given the right name, a mimicked tech can be imbued with great power. Llura does not know this but Mimetic Mages believe this has something to do with the magic's root in Truespeech.
Limitations Llura cannot instantaneously mimic any magic she had just seen. They require time and many hours of trial and error, conducted repeatedly before something eventually clicks and a tech is produced. Not all attempts produce results. The road to her successful techniques is littered with duds (her biggest failure to date is trying to mimic a Dragon Slayer's magic. For some Mod reason, that is something that can never be achieved). But once she has the beginning of a workable technique, Llura can proceed to practice and strengthen them in the future like normal techs. She cannot, and simply will not, mimic any darkness magic. She once unconsciously did it in her sleep and the result was so frightening that to this day she refuses to even acknowledge it happened, let alone discuss it.
Due to its Holder nature, Mimetic Magic cannot imitate any technique that involves other entities (e.g. Summoning), nor does it allow Llura to mimic magic that involves mutating her own (as well as other's) physiology. Magic such as Exquip and certain Takeover techniques, as do all inherent magic of other races, may inspire her to mimic the result (e.g. transforming her holder material into a weapon/shield), but she can never truly retrieve something from an invisible pocket dimension nor mutate her genetic make-up. Non-corporeal/invisible/intangible energy (e.g. spirit, time, holy, magnetism etc) based techniques are nigh impossible for her to imitate. However, theoretically if Llura gets her hands on a magical item imbued with such affinities, she may be able to mimic these techniques in a limited capacity.
